Susan Mintz established the Princess of North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant (PONC) in March
of 1993 with its first pageant in June of that year. Susan
and Steve have been directing pageants as husband and wife for the last four years. Stacey and Natalie joined as Cabarrus County and Catawba County directors in the fall of 2004. We are a traditional
pageant system in that we believe little girls should always look like little girls, and that wardrobe and make-up
should always be "age appropriate"! Mandatory competition consists of Beauty, Sportswear, and Talent for ages 6 and up! Beauty
and sportswear are mandatory for ages 5 and under. Optional contests consist of swimwear, photogenic, best dress, and
best sportswear. Talent and sleepwear are optional for ages 5 and under!
